April 13,2011 Left Rodriquez Key @ 7:15 am & headed north east towards the Gulf Stream. Left visibility of Key Largo & Elliot Key. Cruised up through the rest of Hawk channel &past Card Sound. Off to the distance we saw Key Biscayne, South Beach, the Miami's & the Port of Miami. Turned into the entrance to Port Everglade, glided past some cruise ships, went under the 17th St. bridge & turned into the Pier 66 Marina. By calling ahead we were able to secure a slip with power & water (our first taste of luxury) After 5 days at anchorage we were ready for a boat wash down, a swim in the pool, some laundry & a cab ride to the grocery store. Enjoyed a good night sleep with the A/C. Weather was great, another day in paradise.
