April 10,2011 (Our son-in-law,John's, birthday) Pulled anchor & left Port Boca Grande @ 8:30 am. Heading south west, we cruised our way past Charlotte, Naples & Marco Island. Had to pick our way through the shallows (shoals) & many more crab pots. Saw dolphins, a shark, a big loggerhead along with lotsbofv fishermen. Dropped anchor in 12 ft. of water off the entrance to Everglade City (south of Cape Romano). Used our grill for the first time-Gardner cooked great steaks! Not too much trauma today-only lost our Northstar chartplotter once. Long day, but can't complain since it is another day in paradise.
