July 12,2011 We're "on the road again". After a wonderful two weeks in Watch Hill we decided it was time to explore some more. During that time we had lots of visitors (our kids & grandchildren), observed the 4th with many nights of fireworks & celebrated Caryl's birthday. We learned many things about our home port of Watch Hill-where to grocery shop, do laundry, take hikes, bike to our mail box & dinghy rides to Stonington, CT. The best times were claming with our kids (sweetest steamers we've ever had) and visiting the Light house Museum in Stonington. Yesterday, after the fog cleared, we headed out to Block Island. It took about 3 hours & we reached the entrance to Great Salt Pond about 6:30 pm. We were shocked to see how many boats were in the harbor on a week day! Today we're planning to go ashore, hopefully bring our bikes & explore the island. It has been many years since we've done that. We have lots of great memories of this place.
