April 21,2011 Got an early start @ 7 am (with the tide & sunrise) and did a perfect undocking from our berth at Rivers Edge Marina (ICW mile 780). Headed out the San Sebastian River (which is really a creek) & cruised through St. Augustine, under the Bridge of Lion's. Saw a huge ketch aground, laying on it's side . We think the anchor dragged as the tides are really strong there by the Inlet. We passed Pine Island, Pablo Creek & Jacksonville Beach. Entered the intersection with the St. John's River (& the inlet from the Atlantic) Certainly a different environment, with deeper water & big barges. Continued a little further north, past Nassau Sound, Alligator Creek & turned off the ICW at mile 719 into a small anchorage in the Amelia River. We hope it will be a quiet night & tomorrow we will be in Georgia.
