Since we moved to FL we have been busy with renting a condo to live in as a temporary location until we can find a house to buy. We moved to Siesta Key in August. This was an unbelievable find that is across the road from the #2 rated beach in the country. This marks the first change in the "plan" We could not find a boat to buy that we could afford right away. The economy had to work it's magic into the marketplace. So we started looking at homes instead of boats. This effort is about to culminate in a closing in March on the model of a villa at Palma Sola Trace in North West Bradenton. A Villa is a single floor house that has a twin that shares a common wall. What we would have called a duplex back in the day. Just as soon as we committed to the villa we got the boat call from Selene Annapolis on a boat that we had looked at a year ago that was just too expensive then, but just might be within reach now.-Would we be interested? You bet we were. As of Jan 26th 2011 "Almost Perfect" became the soon to be named "bark Java"! It never rains but it pours!!! On Feb 17th we took our first voyage moving her from St Petersburg to Parrot Cove Marina just outside of Cortez ,FL This will be our temporary home port until we start the voyage to her new hailing port in Watch Hill ,RI in early April.
